Grok AI Ranks Ethereum, Chainlink and Ondo: Which Gains Most if Tokenized Stocks Take Off?
In a recent assessment by Grok, the AI chatbot from xAI, Ethereum, Chainlink, and Ondo have been evaluated to determine which cryptocurrency stands to gain the most if the market for tokenized stocks expands significantly. Grok identified Ondo (CRYPTO:ONDO) as the leading candidate for potential growth by the end of 2027, while it anticipates that Chainlink (CRYPTO:LINK) will experience the most substantial increase if the trading volume of tokenized stocks increases tenfold. Tokenized stocks are blockchain-based tokens that reflect the value of traditional equities. According to Grok's projections for 2027, Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) is expected to reach $3,100, Chainlink $17.50, and Ondo $0.72.
At present, all three cryptocurrencies are trading significantly below their all-time highs. Ethereum is currently priced at $2,267, which is 54.2% lower than its peak of $4,946 achieved in August 2025. Chainlink is trading at $11.21, down 78.7% from its highest value, while Ondo sits at $0.39, representing an 81.8% decline from its peak. Over the last month, Ethereum has decreased by approximately 15.6%, Chainlink by 20.6%, and Ondo by 22.5%, despite a growing interest in tokenized stocks.
Grok's analysis utilized starting prices of $2,290 for Ethereum, $11.28 for Chainlink, and $0.39 for Ondo. If Grok’s targets are met, investors could see returns of 84.6% for Ondo, 55.1% for Chainlink, and 35.4% for Ethereum. This translates to a potential growth of $1,846 from a $1,000 investment in Ondo, $1,551 in Chainlink, and $1,354 in Ethereum.
Market capitalization is a significant factor in these rankings. Ethereum boasts a market cap of approximately $277 billion, making it the second-largest cryptocurrency. Chainlink follows with a market cap of about $8.6 billion, ranking 17th, while Ondo has a market cap of around $1.9 billion, placing it 49th. The smaller market caps of Chainlink and Ondo suggest that they require less new investment to effect price changes.
However, Grok's price targets are still below their respective all-time highs. The target of $17.50 for Chainlink is just below its one-year high of $17.60 recorded on November 2, 2025, while Ondo’s target of $0.72 slightly exceeds its one-year high of $0.70. Essentially, Grok is forecasting a return to price levels observed in November 2025.
Chainlink functions as an oracle network, supplying critical data, including stock prices, to blockchain platforms. Its continuous service allows for real-time pricing of tokenized shares, even outside the hours of traditional exchanges. The lending platform Aave was Chainlink's initial launch partner, and its partnerships have expanded to include S&P Global Ratings and the crypto bank Anchorage.
Grok's more cautious projection for Chainlink, estimating a target of $8—29% lower than its current price—assumes its 24/7 service remains limited to a single launch partner. This scenario has a 35% probability, the lowest among the cryptocurrencies analyzed. Conversely, Ondo functions as a token issuer, creating tokens that are backed by the shares it holds. As demand for tokenized stocks rises, with around $3.9 billion traded on the Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) blockchain in October, Ondo could benefit significantly. Additionally, tokenization firm Securitize has introduced 13 more tokenized stocks on Solana.
Despite this upward trend, many companies remain resistant to tokenization on platforms like OKX and the Intercontinental Exchange, with 50 out of 62 companies opposing such initiatives. Grok's bear case for Ondo sets a target of $0.22, 43% lower than its current price, which presumes that this resistance will limit new token issuance, with a 42% probability assigned to this outcome.
In terms of Ethereum, spot Ethereum ETFs directly hold ETH and trade similarly to stocks. Between October 5 and October 30, these funds recorded net inflows on just three occasions. The most significant outflow happened on October 6, with around $202 million withdrawn. Cumulatively, net inflows fell from approximately $13.8 billion to $12.3 billion, and BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (NASDAQ:ETHA) has lost about 580,000 ETH, valued at roughly $1.3 billion, in the past month. Grok's bearish target for Ethereum is $1,800, which is 21% below its current price and assumes that faster outflows could shift trading volume to Solana, with this scenario given a 48% probability—the highest among the three cryptocurrencies.
If the market for tokenized stocks significantly expands, Chainlink appears to be in the best position for growth and has the highest likelihood of achieving Grok's price target. However, Ondo presents the potential for greater percentage gains, although it faces challenges due to resistance from companies regarding their shares. Chainlink, on the other hand, benefits from each tokenized share requiring real-time price feeds, regardless of the issuer's success.
For Chainlink, forming new partnerships for its 24/7 product will be essential, along with surpassing its 50-day average price of $12.62 and the September 28 high of $15.44. If the 24/7 integration remains limited to one partner, Chainlink could face downward pressure toward the $8 target proposed by Grok. For Ethereum, maintaining a positive trend in ETF flows will be crucial as it aims to reclaim its 50-day average of $2,516. Ondo will need to close above its 50-day average of $0.45 and secure new share listings to advance. If ETF outflows persist through December, the chances of Ethereum reaching $3,100 by the end of 2027 could significantly decline.
