$100 a Week Into Bitcoin Since Its $126,000 Record High: What Would It Be Worth Now?

For an individual who began investing $100 weekly in Bitcoin following its peak price of $126,080 on October 6, 2025, their total investment has reached $5,600. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $78,050, which is 38% lower than its record high and represents an 8% decline over the past month. As of October 30, Bitcoin's closing price was $77,223, marking its lowest level in a month.

The recent downturn in Bitcoin's value can be attributed to significant market turbulence, particularly after Binance suspended trading due to what has been described as the largest hack in cryptocurrency history, resulting in a theft of $6.3 billion that sent ripples through the market.

To shed light on this particular investor's situation, 24/7 Wall St. monitored their investments starting from the date Bitcoin reached its all-time high. The investor utilized a dollar-cost averaging strategy, which involves consistently investing a fixed amount regardless of price fluctuations. This approach allowed them to make 56 purchases totaling $5,600 and acquire approximately 0.0719 BTC.

As of October 31, with Bitcoin priced at $77,474, the overall value of this investment was around $5,574, reflecting a minor loss of $26 or 0.5%. If Bitcoin were to rise to $78,050, the investment's worth would increase to approximately $5,615, yielding a small profit of about $15.

The investor's nearly break-even position can be traced back to their dollar-cost averaging technique. By investing a fixed amount each week, they were able to buy more Bitcoin when prices were lower, effectively reducing their average cost per Bitcoin to $77,842, which is closely aligned with Bitcoin's current trading price.

Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency market has witnessed substantial outflows, with spot Bitcoin ETFs experiencing net withdrawals of $643 million on October 30. This has brought total assets in these funds down from $111 billion on October 5 to $98 billion.

For those considering entering the market, SoFi is currently promoting an offer for new Active Invest users, providing up to $1,000 in stock for a limited time with a minimum deposit of $50.

This investor's experience serves as a practical example of how dollar-cost averaging can help mitigate losses during volatile market conditions. As the cryptocurrency landscape continues to evolve, many investors are left pondering the potential future value of their holdings and the strategies that may best serve their financial interests.
