Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Dogecoin Rebound: Can BTC Break $84,000 Resistance?

Bitcoin has made a significant recovery, climbing from a low of $60,000 to a recent peak of $84,000. However, it continues to encounter resistance at this upper level, influenced by ongoing liquidation pressures and geopolitical tensions affecting the market.

Recent data from Coinglass indicates that in the last 24 hours, approximately 76,237 traders faced liquidations, totaling around $261.79 million. Meanwhile, SoSoValue reported that spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a net inflow of $23.16 million on Tuesday, although spot Ethereum ETFs saw a net outflow of $26.13 million during the same period. Additionally, some of the top gainers in the past day included Ethena, Zcash, and XDC Network.

There have been notable developments in the cryptocurrency market recently. Grayscale has initiated in-kind cryptocurrency investing for Bitcoin, XRP, Dogecoin, and Solana ETFs. The reputation of XRP as a “banker coin” is now being challenged by the growing presence of Ethereum and Solana in the market. Furthermore, XRP and Dogecoin have shown signs of bullish activity, prompting discussions about whether market participants can push prices higher.

While Bitcoin has reached the $84,000 mark, prominent figures in the industry, such as Samson Mow, argue that MicroStrategy (MSTR) is significantly undervalued. Predictions from Spark CEO suggest that Ethereum stands to gain the most from an anticipated $3 trillion boom in stablecoins. In a separate development, Ripple has urged the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) not to indefinitely classify digital tokens as securities. Meanwhile, Dogecoin Labs has launched initiatives aimed at enhancing DOGE payments, decentralized finance (DeFi), and its adoption in real-world scenarios.

In an interview with Scott Melker, Robinhood executive Nicola White shared insights on the future trajectory of cryptocurrency. She suggested that the next phase of growth in the sector will be driven less by speculation on Bitcoin's price and more by the establishment of institutional infrastructure, the proliferation of stablecoin payments, tokenized stocks, and access to private markets. Robinhood is working towards bridging the gap between retail and institutional finance through blockchain technology while also expanding its regulated crypto products on a global scale.

White noted that interest from institutional investors has broadened beyond hedge funds, with major financial institutions now exploring blockchain infrastructure. She expressed confidence that regulated products in the U.S. could capture trading activity that has previously migrated offshore due to regulatory uncertainties. This shift could ultimately lead to a more robust and transparent cryptocurrency market.
