What Will 100 Solana (SOL) Be Worth by 2030?

The future value of 100 Solana (SOL) is a topic of speculation as the cryptocurrency has experienced significant fluctuations, trading between $74 and $115 recently. Investors are left contemplating whether SOL can regain its lost value or if it will decline further by the year 2030. Three potential scenarios illustrate the vast range of possibilities for SOL's future.

At present, 100 Solana is valued at approximately $10,366, with SOL trading around $104. The cryptocurrency has shown volatility, increasing by 39.2% over the past three months from $74, but it has also seen a decline of 9.9% in the past month, dropping from $115. Historically, the outlook appears less promising, as SOL is currently 64.7% below its all-time high of $293, reached on January 19, 2025, when 100 SOL was worth $29,331. Furthermore, SOL has decreased by 16.6% since the beginning of 2026.

To gauge the potential future value of SOL, three scenarios were analyzed: $50, $200, and $400. These projections depend on factors such as demand for exchange-traded funds (ETFs), network revenue, and Solana's competitive position against Ethereum.

The market cap of a cryptocurrency is determined by multiplying its price by its circulating supply. Solana's current market cap is about $61.1 billion, with a circulating supply of roughly 589.7 million SOL, making it the seventh largest cryptocurrency. For SOL to reach the base case of $200, it would need to increase to approximately 1.9 times its current price. The more optimistic scenario of $400 would require a rise of about 3.9 times, exceeding its previous peak by 36%.

However, increasing supply poses challenges for these projections. The estimates above assume the current circulating supply, but as the network continues to create new coins for stakers—those who lock up SOL for rewards—more coins will enter circulation. The total supply has already risen to around 636.3 million SOL, meaning that achieving a price of $200 would imply a market cap of about $127.3 billion instead of the previously calculated $117.9 billion.

As of October 22, 2026, U.S. spot Solana ETFs have seen cumulative net inflows of $1.54 billion, with total assets reaching $1.61 billion. Inflows peaked on September 29 at $1.62 billion, with the highest single-day influx of $86.7 million occurring on September 25. However, since that peak, outflows have been more prevalent, including $12.7 million on October 16 and $8.5 million on October 22. The fluctuations in ETF flows indicate their significant impact on the price of SOL.

For Solana to achieve the ambitious target of $400, its market capitalization would need to approach that of Ethereum, which currently stands at about $292.9 billion, making it the second largest cryptocurrency. The optimistic estimate of $235.9 billion for Solana would represent roughly 80% of Ethereum's market cap. This would necessitate a notable increase in Solana's transaction fee revenue. However, the performance gap has widened, with SOL declining 45.8% over the past year, compared to ETH's 38.1% drop.

A broader rally in the cryptocurrency market could bolster Solana's growth. Bitcoin, currently priced around $81,300, has seen a 26.2% decrease over the year but has gained 26.3% in the last 90 days, while Solana has increased by 39.2% during the same timeframe. Historically, SOL tends to mirror Bitcoin's price movements, suggesting that a significant rally in Bitcoin could positively influence SOL's price as 2030 approaches.

Realistically, the most feasible scenario appears to be the base case of SOL reaching $200, which would value 100 SOL at $20,000—still lower than its previous record. The more optimistic scenario of $400 seems less probable, as it would require SOL to set a new all-time high and achieve a market cap comparable to Ethereum's. If ETF outflows persist and Bitcoin's value declines, the bearish scenario of $5,000 for 100 SOL could become more likely.

To realize the base scenario, several conditions must be fulfilled, including cumulative ETF inflows exceeding $1.62 billion again, a recovery of SOL's price to at least $115 (its level in late September), and a sustained increase in Bitcoin's price. Conversely, if SOL's price falls below $74—its level on July 25—it would indicate a potential shift towards a bearish outlook.
